Our Legacy Dance was a huge success with 10 squares up and dancing in attendance. There were 21 students in attendance with their Angels. Thank you, everyone for your support by attending the dance.
Congratulations to Tom Strickland on 30 years of calling!!! 203 dancers attended Tom’s Anniversary Dance featuring Scotty Sharrer, Dick Mackey, & Tom Strickland calling (25 squares of people!)!!! Thanks to everyone who attended, & helped, to make it a success!!!!
We had six squares up dancing at one time at the dance and had enough to dance seven but did not have enough guys that could dance the ladies part, now that is a switch as there usually not enough guys.
We had dancers from Hubs, Brecksville, Broken Wheel, Buckeyes, North Coast, Johnny Appleseed, Marschmellows and Lake Erie who banner raided. I hope that I did not miss any clubs as I lost the sheet that I wrote that information onto. Thanks for coming everyone.
Ruth Ann from Lake Erie won the cakewalk prize that was provided by Betty Clay, Barb Davis won the free pass for providing snacks and Ray Marsch from Marschmellows won the fifty-fifty drawing.
This will be the last dance being held at St. Paul until September 2014. Our Summer dances will be at the Berea Masonic Hall just across the parking lot from St. Paul Lutheran Church.
We have cancelled our dance on 5/9 due to the state convention.
We ended up having an impromptu banner raid when 8 Solo dancers showed up at the Lake Erie Square’s dance on 4/05. Thanks to Don, Betsy, Jan, Ron, Bill and Terry for signing in as Solo’s so that with Barb and I it made the banner raid possible.
Eight Solo dancers danced to Dick Mackey at Medina Squares on 4/4/2014 and since they did not have our banner (my mistake) we had a successful Banner Raid. The dancers from Solo’s that raided were Sherrie, Beverly, Jeff, Bert, Don, Shelby, Barb and me. At one time there were 5 squares up and dancing and a couple of Medina students trying their hand at a dance
We danced 4 squares at our 3/28 student level dance and had 5 students in attendance.
Gene Hammond introduce the angels and students to some new challenges and Frankie taught and lead some line dances between tips. Circulators were there for a banner retrieval and graciously provided a free pass to their hotdog dance which was won by Solo’s student Denise.
